Hairy Bikers star Simon 'Si' King made an 'exciting' new announcement after fans were left gutted last month.

Their most recent show Hairy Bikers Go Local series aired on BBC, but last month, they said: "Sadly, the series has come to an end.

"We hope you enjoyed the series and the journey we went through with each episode, we look forward to seeing you on your telly sometimes soon."

They added: "Be sure to catch all of the episodes from GO LOCAL on iplayer! All recipes can be found on the @bbcgoodfood website. Love Si and Dave."

Another added: "This has absolutely made my weekend!! Was really hoping you were going to be at Tunbridge Wells!!"

Earlier this month, Si's co-star Dave gave a health update to his fans as he continues to receive treatment for cancer.

The 64-year-old said he's "doing kinda all right" after being diagnosed last year.

He said: "[The treatment] is still ongoing but I'm kinda doing all right, it's like many people, it's something one learns to live with," Dave explained on BBC Breakfast.

He told fans that he's "going to be fine" but his diagnosis has meant he has had to take a break from work.
