Hailey Bieber has opened up about her ongoing health battle, revealing she’s currently dealing with two ovarian cysts.
According to the NHS, an ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac that develops on an ovary.
While they are common and will go away on their own most of the time, some ovarian cysts can burst and cause serious symptoms, including severe abdominal pain and bloating.
The 28-year-old model shared the update via Instagram Stories on Monday, posting a selfie with her stomach visible and the caption: “If you deal with ovarian cysts, I’m right there with ya!”
While she didn’t go into further detail this time, the American star, who welcomed her first child Jack last August, has previously spoken about the painful condition.
In 2022, she addressed pregnancy speculation by sharing a mirror photo of her stomach, explaining she wasn’t expecting a baby — but was suffering from a cyst the size of an apple.
“I have a cyst on my ovary the size of an apple,” she captioned the photo.
“I don’t have endometriosis or PCOS but I have gotten an ovarian cyst a few times and it’s never fun. It’s painful and achey and makes me feel nauseous and bloated and crampy and emotional.”
She ended the message with words of encouragement to others experiencing the same thing: “We got this.”
The skincare entrepreneur has been candid about her health in recent years.
In 2022, she underwent heart surgery after a blood clot led to stroke-like symptoms.
“I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke like symptoms and was taken to the hospital,” she wrote on Instagram Stories at the time.
“They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours.”
In a YouTube video, she explained that she was diagnosed with patent foramen ovale (PFO), a condition where a small opening between the heart's upper chamber normally present during fetal development failed to close after birth.
She described feeling “grateful” that doctors were able to identify the issue and underwent a procedure to repair her heart.
Her health update however comes as her husband Justin Bieber is facing renewed concern from fans after he was filmed smoking a roll-up next to his 15-year-old brother Jaxon while attending Coachella 2025.
The 31-year-old singer was seen shirtless and dancing in the crowd at the California music festival in a video shared on social media on April 20.
In the clip, Bieber appears to be smoking as he moves through the audience with Jaxon by his side.
Hailey is also seen in the video. She gently places a hand on Jaxon’s back and steers him away while Justin continues partying with a friend.
The incident follows several recent videos that have raised questions about the pop star’s wellbeing. Earlier in the weekend, Bieber was filmed at an event hunched over and swaying to his hit What Do You Mean? in a TikTok clip that showed him smoking again.
In another video, posted by artist Shaqo, he appeared unsteady and slightly disoriented while at the Friday Nights in the Desert party, according to TMZ.
Following the viral videos, fans were quick to share their concerns about his festival behaviour, with one writing: “He is not okay he does need help. poor Justin bieber.”
“It’s concerning to see Justin like this,” another commented. “Hope he gets the support he needs and that those around him are looking out for his well-being.”
Justin has prompted concern in recent months with fans expressing worry over his physical and emotional health.
