A stylist who works with Hailey Bieber has sparked fury among music fans online after declaring he ‘hates’ rival Selena Gomez.
Fashion stylist Von Ford provoked a backlash this week when he took to social media to express his dislike for 30-year-old actress and singer Selena.
Von is believed to work with 26-year-old Hailey - who is the wife of Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber, 29, who had a years-long on-off love affair with Selena.
Other clients Von has reportedly worked with include actress Chloe Bailey, reality star turned model Bella Hadid and British singer Charlie XCX - but some social media users have predicted the fashionista may have burned his own bridges.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Von shared a message via Instagram Stories that stated: "I hate Selena Gomez."
His post was then removed by the social media app - prompting him to share a screenshot of a warning he was sent explaining why his post was taken down.
He added a caption over the screen shot that stated: "I said what I said!"
Many music fans have jumped to Selena’s defence - condemning Von for his words and speculating that he may have ended his own career.
One Twitter user wrote online: “Very UNPROFESSIONAL Von Ford, what kind of stylist does that! #TeamSelena”.
Another quipped: “Von Ford cancelled himself before anyone even knew who he was.”
Selena, while famous for her acting roles and chart topping songs, had become something of an advocate for mental health and kind living in recent years.
She was praised last year for the release of her documentary series Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me which explored her battle with mental illness.
She also opened up on being bullied in the past, telling Hollywood life in 2019 that she struggled to fit in with peers.
She explained at the time: "I know when I was growing up, I went to school for a little bit, before I was homeschooled.
"If my cousin wasn’t the captain of the cheerleading team I would have been destroyed. Because I was just, you know, I was kind of a nerd and just hung out with like one person."
