In January, all I can think about is being cozy. Whether it's schlepping across London bundled in a massive scarf or bunkering down in my flat, I make it my mission to be warm and comfortable. This year, the mission was supported by an unexpected actor: Hailey Bieber.
I spotted the model carrying one of the world's best throws, a cheetah Barefoot Dreams Blanket in Marie Claire, and I knew I had to try it. Bieber has long expressed that she's a fan of the blanket, listing the angular rib blanket as one of her top gift guide picks last year. Barefoot Dreams sent me one in the graphite colorway, and it completely upgraded my cozy January.
The first thing I noticed when I opened my package from Barefoot Dreams was how unbelievably soft the blanket was. Their blankets are made of a signature blend of 100% polyester microfiber. The second thing I noticed was how beautiful the pattern was. I really love the leopard print pattern (it's also a current interior design trend). It feels incredibly fun and adds texture to any room where it is used.
Hailey Bieber's Throw
This bolder wild throw blanket is an exact match to the one I spotted Hailey Bieber carrying as she entered her car. This eclectic alternative to my more muted gray throw is perfect for the more maximalist lovers among us – perfect for spreading across an accent chair or a beautiful green or orange sofa.
Fun Jacquard Pattern
This dark and light graphite throw has the unparalleled softness we've come to expect from the brand with Hailey Bieber's signature pattern. This is the one I tried and I feel it would fit into any interior.
I am admittedly a bit high-maintenance when it comes to washing my linens, but I didn't love the way it smelled when it came right out of the package. Luckily, the blanket is highly washable, and unlike washing bed sheets, there's little finesse involved. I threw it in the washing machine with regular detergent on a gentle cycle and then hung it up to dry, and my problem was fixed within a few hours. After washing, the fresh-smelling blanket was just as soft as when it came out of the package.
Since the initial opening, I've been living in this blanket. During the winter, on the days when I'm not in the office, I love to work on my living room sofa. I draped the throw over my lap. I felt immediately warm, cozy, and settled in for work. When I moved to the kitchen table, I placed the blanket around my shoulder for an extra cozy touch. The extra warmth made me much more comfortable in my home at this gloomy time of year, and gave me all the motivation I needed.
Plus, it looks fabulous with my Matthew Williamson Ruggable Rug and my Black Chinoiserie Addison Ross Coasters.
