Supergiant Games released the Olympic update for Hades II that introduced a new area and a ton of new content for players to experience.

The new zone is Mount Olympus and features a variety of iconic deities as well as new Keepsakes and Boons. Players can also get more materials and fight against new challenging bosses.

Players who want to get to Mount Olympus will have to dedicate some time and effort to unlock the new zone. This is particularly true for those who are only just starting in Hades II. This guide helps you understand the requirements and how to exactly get to the new area.

Accessing The Surface in Hades II

Before you can actually unlock Mount Olympus, you first need to reach the Surface. When you initially get there, you will find that it has been sealed off. To remove this barrier, you have to talk with Hermes during one of your playthroughs, according to The Gamer.

In that same run, you will need to reach the boss fight with Headmistress Hecate to unlock the Permeation of Witching-Wards incantation at the Cauldron in the Crossroads.

You need a few materials to perform the incantation. These are one piece of Cinder, three pieces of Molly, and a piece of Shadow Extraction.

Cinder is acquired as a drop by Headmistress Hecate and Molly can be gathered all over Erebus. But Shadow Extraction is crafted using 30 pieces of Ash, 30 pieces of Psyche, and three pieces of Fate Fabric.

Getting to Mount Olympus

You now need to take the Surface route when leaving the Crossroads. You will then have to advance through both the first zone Ephyrea and the second, the Rift of Thessaly.

When you get to the end of the second zone, you will face off against Eris in a boss fight, Game Rant said.

After defeating the boss, you can move forward and finally unlock Mount Olympus, which is the third zone of the Surface route in the game. The final boss will block the way to the final area of the Surface route, which will be added in a later update.

Other New Content

The Olympus update also introduced a variety of new content for Hades II other than just Mount Olympus. These include the Black Coat weapon, new deities Athena and Dionysus, new animal familiars, and many more.

Another noticeable addition to the game is the new boss, Prometheus, the Titan of Foresight. You should be careful with this new enemy as he has access to a wide array of dangerous attacks, according to Epic Games.
