A serial abuser who preyed on four terrified women has been jailed for seven and a half years.
Rian Hood, 31, was locked up today having earlier been convicted of 10 charges across Glasgow, Bishopbriggs and Kilmarnock. This included raping one victim who was also knocked unconscious.
Lord Beckett told him: "Behaving in such an abusive and violent way with intimate partners is something of a breach of trust and makes it more serious.
"I have also considered statements from three (of the women) which explains the profound effect this has had on them."

Hood, latterly also of Kilmarnock, will be supervised for a further three years on his release for the offences spanning between 2010 and 2020.
He was further put on the sex offenders list indefinitely by the judge at the High Court in Glasgow.
Non-harassment order were imposed at the hearing banning Hood from contacting any of the women.
Hood was previously found guilty of assault, breach of the peace as well as threatening and abusive behaviour against the first victim.
The next was raped and attacked to her severe injury and the danger of her life.
Hood was then convicted of being sexually, physically and verbally abusive to the third woman.
He was finally found guilty under the Domestic Abuse Act of preying on the fourth victim.
This included forcing her to take loans out in her name and making threats to report her to the police.
Frances Connor, defending, said: "His life was somewhat blighted by a gambling addiction and he acknowledges the difficulties this caused in his relationships.
"With regards the rape and sexual assault elements, his position (of denial) remains the same as it was at trial."
Speaking after Rian was sentenced, Scotland’s national procurator fiscal for High Court Sexual Offences, Fraser Gibson, said:
“Rian Hood is a habitual domestic abuser. Women who became involved with him quickly found themselves subjected to appalling sexual and physical violence, until they lost all confidence in themselves.
“I would commend them for their courage in speaking out. It is their bravery which has allowed our expert prosecutors to bring this man to justice.
“Any victim of similar offending should be assured that the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service will use all tools available to prosecute abusers.
“I would urge victims to come forward, report the crime and seek help.”
