Former NFL safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix officially retired from the NFL in December, and has already started his transition into the next phase of his career. Clinton-Dix took a job with his alma mater, Alabama, as a director of player development.
On Tuesday, Clinton-Dix reported to his new job for the first time, but apparently Nick Saban did not care that it was the former defender’s first day. Clinton-Dix tweeted that the Alabama coach already gave him an “A– Chewing” just moments into his new job, an interaction that he expects to be the first of many.
Clinton-Dix played for Saban at Alabama from 2011 to ’13, playing his way into the first round of the 2014 NFL draft. For the Crimson Tide, Clinton-Dix played in 38 games and recorded 58 tackles and seven interceptions in three seasons.
Following a seven-year NFL career, Clinton-Dix is returning to Alabama, but apparently his first day went a lot like his college career playing for Saban.
