Carol Vorderman made her Celebrity Gogglebox debut last week.
The former Countdown host joined This Morning's Gyles Brandreth on his sofa as they enjoyed the week's latest TV programmes together. The Channel 4 show replaced Joanna Lumley with Carol for the latest episodes.
Appearing on Lorraine today, the friends explained how long they had known each other and what it meant to they starring on Gogglebox together. Gyles admitted he is discovering new shows thanks to his role and said he would only be watching Bargain Hunt if he never went on there.

Speaking of his experience on Gogglebox, Gyles said: "I'll tell you what's really lovely, and I would suggest this seriously to people, if you're living on your own get a friend and watch telly with them. It's a really nice way of enjoying an evening.
"We are very old friends but I had forgotten how easy it is being together, just fun and having the programme to chat about with snacks." He added: "During the rude ones I eat feverishly as I don't know what else to do."
The friends revealed that they first met 40 years ago while on Channel 4's Countdown. Gyles recalled that Carol was the first woman to appear on the channel. Lorraine showed a throwback picture to when they originally worked together, as Gyles said: "You've grown younger and more beautiful as the years have gone by."
