Great Western Railway (GWR) is recruiting for a Talent Pool of Qualified train drivers at Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway. The positions are full-time and permanent with a new entrant qualified driver's salaries starting at £54,111 for the first 12 months and then increasing to £60,124.
You will need to work a variety of shifts and must live within an hour's travel of the depot you apply for. Customer service assistant - Bristol Parkway
Temporary contract: 1st July - 10th July
Pay rate: £11 per hour
Shifts: Various - 07:00 - 15:00, 14:30 - 22:30, 09:00 - 16:00
You will be involved in:
- Meeting and greeting our customers as they enter and leave our station
- Supporting customers needing assistance
- Ensuring the safety of the station environment
- Providing a friendly and personable service

Station Supervisor - Bristol Parkway
Pay rate: £13
Shifts: Various - 07:00 - 15:00, 14:30 - 22:30, 09:00 - 16:00
Temporary contract: 1st July - 10th July
You will be supervising a team of four at Bristol parkway, ensuring staff are on-site, recording their attendance and monitoring performance. You will be an escalation point for any issues this period there are ongoing blockade Severn Tunnel works - you will receive further information on when you have your induction on your first day.
You need to be focused and flexible people, able to balance safety and customer service at all times. You will need to:
- Have a professional, but fun approach to your work
- Be passionate about providing amazing customer service
- Love working as part of a team, but able to work independently too
- Have first-class interpersonal skills
- Love the buzz of a busy environment, and be able to keep your cool under pressure
- Be safety conscious - able to spot and anticipate risk
Please note a zero-alcohol tolerance is to be adhered to while working on the railway and candidates cannot turn up under the influence of alcohol.
