Police have appealed for information after a pub in Gwent was robbed at knifepoint and had a "substantial" amount of money stolen. Gwent Police has issued the appeal after an incident at the Somerset Arms in Victoria Street in Abergavenny last month.
Police said a man went into the pub sometime between 12.30am and 1am on Saturday, May 21, holding a knife and demanding money. He left with a substantial amount of cash, but no-one was hurt according to officers. The man is described as white, of slim build, aged in his forties, and with short brown hair. Police have confirmed the pub was closed at the time of the incident.

A Gwent Police statement said: "We’re appealing for information following a robbery in Abergavenny. A man went into the Somerset Arms in Victoria Street, sometime between 12.30am and 1am on Saturday, May 21, and demanded money, whilst holding a knife.
