Gutted I'm a Celebrity star Owen Warner says he's not the 'smartest geezer' as he bombs quiz trial

I'm a Celebrity campmate, Owen Warner, has been hungry for days and desperate to do a trial to sate his rumbling appetite, even wishing to be voted to do the disgusting Bushtucker Trial on Friday, November 11, more on that, here. But on Saturday, November 12, his wish came true and he and Matt Hancock were nominated by the public to take part ina jungle-themed version of ITV’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? entitled Who Wants To Look Silly On Air?

But the hungry Hollyoaks actor was left totally deflated after they won just five out of the 11 stars with Owen ruing his lack of, shall we say, smarts. He and serving MP Matt Hancock were quizzed with general knowledge questions and could ask other campmates for help via lifelines, get an answer wrong and they'd get splatted with gunge or feathers.

After the trial, Owen said: “I’m not happy man, I’m covered in all sorts and we’ve only got 5 stars… he [Matt] was doing well until you got me on his team.”

Later Owen admitted in the Bush Telegraph: “I’m feeling very disappointed, very deflated. I’m not the smartest geezer about, which is probably why I got put to do that. I feel a bit awful… I feel really tight that I’ve let the campmates down a little bit.”

Also on the show the young actor revealed he "jumps on" with strangers at his regular gym sessions, saying he's met many friends by talking to randoms while working out. Owen was asked by Seann Walsh about his training regime and impressive appearance.

Owen said: “I’m lucky, I love the gym. Just jump on.” Seann asked: “Jump on?”

Owen explained: “Someone asks me how long I’ve got left, I say, ‘Jump on.’ Jump on with me.” Seann asked: “With a stranger?”

"Yeah - working out with strangers is the best. The amount of mates I’ve made in the gym just from jumping on… have a 5/10 minute chat and next thing you know I’m best mates with the geezer," Owen revealed.

Charlene said to Seann: “You need to be more friendly.”

Owen asked: “Sean, how would you feel, say you’re in a gym doing a little workout and you’re doing an exercise but you’re doing it wrong and I came up and was like, ‘Here’s how you do that properly’ would you be like, ‘Do one you b***end?’”

Seann admitted: “That would mortify me.” Seann then attempted to show his deadlift technique.

Owen told him: “No, no, no… imagine you’re about to twerk.” Seann quipped: “Jump on! That’s going to help the bowels.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! watch the next live episode on Sunday, November 13 at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub
