A popular brewery based in South Queensferry has taken the difficult decision to close due to spiralling costs leaving local beer fans gutted by the news.
Ferry Brewery, which operated its brewery and taproom within site of the incredible Forth Bridge, took to Facebook to share the news.
The team posted that they were "saddened" to announce that they would be closing for good, citing the recent "unprecedented times" had taken a significant toll on the business.

In the emotional post, they addressed the "Ferry Family", writing: "Increased energy and supplies costs, economic downturn, reduced customer confidence and spending, and lengthy licensing delays, all of which have made it unfeasible for us to continue.
"After much careful consideration and consultation with our finance team, we have concluded that it is no longer financially viable for us to operate under the current conditions."
Offering their thanks to their customers for their loyalty and support over the years, they added that it had been an "honour" to serve them and the local community.
They post continued: "We are grateful for all the memories and friendships we have made during this time. We have crafted some exceptional award-winning beers over the years and have enjoyed every minute. We shall miss it deeply.
"Thank you for being a part of our journey; we hope you enjoyed it as much as we have. Hope to see you on the other side of the bar soon."
Gutted fans took to the post to offer their condolences and wish the team well for the future.
One wrote: "Totally gutted to hear this. Brilliant brewery and great people. Really gutted to hear this. I wish you all the best for the future. Sad days indeed."
While another added: "Oh that's awful. I'm not a beer drinker but I would pop in for lovely gifts for my brother and nephews at birthdays and Christmas and they enjoyed your beers."
The team at fellow beer firm Broughton Brewery wrote: "So sad to hear this. A cracking brewery and you’ve left your mark on Scottish brewing. Wishing the team all the best for your next adventure. Slainte!"
The team confirmed they would be having "one last hurrah" at their tap room this weekend, with people welcome to join them this Friday and Saturday, (April 21 and 22), from 12pm to 8pm.
