The Bangkok Sustainability Fair 2023 is a two-day event that will showcase the best of eco-friendly and sustainable living, and will be held on Feb 11-12 from 10am-6pm at EKM6 (Ekamai 6), Thailand's first plant-based community mall. The fair is the first event in the space and serves as a soft launch for the venue. Hosted by Bangkok Recycling Chain, the largest English-speaking sustainability-focused Facebook group in Thailand, it strives to promote zero-waste practices and is designed to connect socially-responsible consumers with eco-friendly and sustainable businesses, uniting all people who are passionate about living a sustainable lifestyle. The event will feature a variety of activities and experiences that highlight the importance of reducing waste, promoting sustainability and taking care of our planet. The slow-cooked beef is flavoured with curry paste, fish sauce, peanuts, coconut and tamarind, making for a rich, intensely punchy filling complimented by flaky, buttery pastry. While the coolness of the Bangkok winter has worn off and we head straight into the summer, we still can enjoy the produce of the cold. The “Winter Guestronomic Journey” at Elements, inspired by Ciel Bleu, celebrates the season with produce like the “iIkejime Hamachi” with kombu, oyster regal and sorrel and "langoustine tail" with ikura, spinach and veloute that uses whole langoustines to create a rich sauce. The "Brittany lemon sole" with Japanese hakurei turnip and mussel is a dish where the delicate winter fish is cooked with a classic mouthwatering vadouvan spice marinated in miso and mirin and then rolled in shiso leaves and served with a homemade dashi demi-glaze. This was the one dish that makes you looking for the accompanying rice because the vadouvan sauce is that good. Though should you hold your horses until after Feb 14, you can taste new dishes like the lip-smacking Foie gras tarte tatin.
