People wake up to gunshots on family street as person runs from scene
People said they heard gunshots in the early morning in a family street.
Reports were made to police at around 1.35am on Monday, July 18. Police attended the scene on Ismay Street in Walton, where a terrace house had been shot at.
People living in the area said that they heard the sound of shots at around 1.30am. A man told the ECHO that he thought the sound was "fireworks".

A woman told the ECHO: "I heard shots fired at around 1.30am, and they woke me up." She added: "Police were knocking on all the doors around here. There's always something going on here."

Suspect named after teen seriously hurt in 'machete' attack
A man was charged after an 18-year-old was attacked in Ellesmere Port.
Cheshire police have confirmed that Joseph Farrell, of Bridge Street, Birkenhead, has been charged with section 18 assault. The attack took place on Westminster Road on Thursday, July 14, at around 5.17pm.
The incident is believed to have involved weapons with witnesses telling the ECHO that "machetes were used". However, police have not confirmed information on weapons.

Liverpool Council chief executive Tony Reeves resigns
The chief executive of Liverpool City Council, Tony Reeves, has resigned.
Mr Reeves was appointed in July 2018 as the council's most senior officer. Today (July 18) Mayor Joanne Anderson confirmed in an email to staff that after four years in his post, Mr Reeves had stepped down.
The chief executive had faced pressure after a catalogue of mistakes, that could add an extra £16 million onto the city's electric bill, were revealed. There had been speculation on his departure.
