Gun Manufacturer Testifies He Hasn't Seen Weapon Since 2018

A semi-automatic pistol with a conversion device installed making it fully automatic is fired as four empty shell casings fly out of the weapon, at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explos

Alessandro Pietta, the manufacturer of the gun involved in the tragic on-set shooting, testified that he had not seen the weapon since the beginning of 2018, except for a Zoom meeting. Pietta confirmed that he personally crafted the gun used in the incident but stated that he was unaware of how the weapon was handled by specific individuals after it was sent out.

His knowledge of the gun was limited to the last time he physically saw it, and he was not aware of its condition on October 21, 2021, when the fatal incident occurred on the film set. Pietta mentioned that he first saw a picture of the gun during a previous Zoom interview, marking the first time he had seen the weapon since it was sent out for use.
