New Delhi: Indian chess Grandmaster D Gukesh, who played a major role in India's historic win at the Chess Olympiad in Budapest, has shared a video on Instagram in which he, along with his friends and family members, can be seen grooving to veteran actor Rajinikanth's song 'Manasilayo' from his upcoming film 'Vettaiyan'.

Video goes viral
In the now-viral video, the chess player, dressed in traditional attire, can be seen following the hit song's hook steps alongside his family and friends, who are also clad in traditional attire. 

Toward the end of the video, Gukesh, wearing sunglasses, walks up to the camera and smiles.

Variations in dance

"Ithu yepdi iruku? (How are you?)" read the caption of the video posted by chess Grandmaster D Gukesh, showcasing his dancing skills.

All praises
Netizens heaped praises on him for his dancing skills. 

"Bro casually dancing after winning the Olympiad for India," one of the users wrote on Insta. 

"Never thought of seeing this side of Gukesh," another user commented. 

The teenage sensation had won 9 out of 10 games, helping India win the historic gold medal at the Chess Olympiad.

Gukesh, along with other members of the gold-medal-winning Indian men’s and women’s team, was felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last month.

Next, the grandmaster will face Chinese player Ding Liren at the upcoming World Chess Championship in Singapore, scheduled to take place from November to December 15. (with media inputs)
