AHMEDABAD: To create awareness for the well-being of existing Asiatic lions and their conservation, the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd (TCGL) in Gandhinagar, has installed the world's largest Asiatic lion pride sculpture.
The measurements of the sculpture include a base length of 165 ft and a width of 68 ft.
When including the lion and lioness sculptures, tail to tail, the width measures 92 feet.
The lion sculpture measures 31 feet in height with a length from nose to tail of 60 ft, while the lioness sculpture stands at 21 ft in height with a nose-to-tail length of 46 ft.
Two cub sculptures are 9.6 feet in height with nose-to-tail lengths of 16.5 feet and 8.6 feet in height with nose-to-tail lengths of 22 feet. This impressive sculpture was crafted using Ferrocement material and was installed at Ambardi Safari Park, Khodiyar Dam, Dhari, Gujarat, setting a record on Tuesday. The sculptors, Anand Tike and Mayur Vakani, along with the team from Amit Fibre Decor in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, were responsible for creating and installing this masterpiece.
