Godhra: A fire near a cycle store in Gujarat's Godhra on Saturday gutted three shops and one warehouse, fire department officials said.
According to the officials, the fire incident was reported at around 4 am on Saturday at Nandini Cycle store's godown located near Gandhi pump in Godhra.
Visuals from the spot showed huge flames spread across the godown and thick smoke was rising from the blaze.

Mukesh Bhai Chawra, a driver for the Godhra Fire Department, said, "Our first team arrived at the scene, and later we found that the fire had spread significantly.
Therefore, 3 to 4 firefighters were dispatched to the incident site, and it took about 3 hours to bring the fire under control."
"The firefighters used both water and foam, deploying approximately 800 litres of foam to douse the flames.

The fire not only affected the cycle store but also burned down two nearby shops. Inside the cycle store, there were bicycles, tyres, spare parts, and large oil drums," the officials said.
"I'm not sure about the total damage or how many shops and warehouses were affected, but three shops and one warehouse were burned down", Chawra added. (with Agency inputs)
