GTA: San Andreas cheats – every vehicle, weapon and stat boost code

GTA: San Andreas cheats - A gangster sitting on the hood of a car.

GTA: San Andreas cheats are one way to give things a twist if you're looking for something a little different while waiting for the release of GTA 6. Of course, you could always make the leap to the GTA 5 Enhanced edition that has recently arrived to give the PC version a boost, but if you're determined to stay put in San Andreas, the cheats here will help keep things fresh.

Be warned though: once you start using cheats in GTA, it's hard to go back to playing normally. Why buy weapons or spend time looking for rare cars when you can use a code to spawn them in? You can even mess around with the city itself, weaponising the citizens—or not—and making them riot.

The list below contains around 80 cheat codes, which include weapon and vehicle spawns, and character enhancements such as granting invincibility or maxing out traits. There are also cheats to change the weather if you fancy a rain shower or a foggy day—perhaps to help conceal your movements?

With all that in mind, here are the GTA: San Andreas cheat codes, instructions on how to use them, and warnings you should be aware of before taking the plunge.

How to use GTA: San Andreas cheats

Here's what you need to know before you tap in any San Andreas cheats:

  • You can use either the code or phrase listed next to your desired effect to activate a cheat. Both are valid, but the phrase is simpler to memorise.
  • To activate a cheat, just type it while playing the game—just make sure it isn't paused.
  • You'll know it worked when a pop-up appears in the top corner of your screen. You can then enter other cheats or start playing.
  • Remember not to save while cheats are active. Some cheats can actually soft-lock your progress through the game.
  • GTA: San Andreas cheats can lock you out of achievements. You read that right, going over to the dark (fun) side will lock you out of achievements. Be sure you're good with that before you start the mayhem, or you'll be stuck with it unless you load back to an earlier save.

The majority of GTA: San Andreas' current cheat codes will work with the Definitive Edition release, which launched on November 11, 2021. We've noted in the tables which cheats work.
