Police say they have traced a missing man for whom there had been "growing concerns" after he was last seen wearing a Scotland top in a village in the Lothians.
Neil McIntyre, 57, has vanished from his home in Gorebridge, Midlothian, and was last seen at The Crescent in Gowkshill at around 10pm on Monday, June 12. Police are appealing for information in their efforts to trace Neil.
He is described as around 5ft 8ins, of medium build, with short brown hair. He has tattoos on his arms and torso.
When last seen, Neil was wearing blue jeans and a navy blue Scotland top and sandals.
Inspector Ali Bruce said: “Concerns are growing for Neil’s welfare and we are keen to make sure he is safe and well.
“I am asking anyone who has seen Neil or might know where he is to get in touch. If Neil hears about this appeal then I urge him to get in touch with us or his family.”
Shortly after 8pm on Tuesday, police confirmed that Neil had been found "safe and well".
A statement issued by officers read: "Neil McIntyre, 57, who had been missing from Gorebridge, Midlothian, has been traced safe and well this evening, Tuesday, 13 June 2023. Thank you for your comments and shares."
