A mum said she has been left sickened after a 'Grinch' thief stole a Christmas wreath from her front door.
The crook's audacious light-fingered actions were filmed by a smart doorbell camera at Grace Brogan's home and she has now released the footage.
The video, shot in the early hours of Thursday morning, shows the hooded crook snatching the decoration hanging from Grace Brogan's door in Failsworth, Manchester.
Grace said the man initially came to the door around 12.20am to steal a 'Santa stop' sign from the front garden but he struggled to pull it out of the ground as it was pinned down, Manchester Evening News reports.
"He came back and he took our wreath on the door and ran off", the 27-year-old said.
Grace, who lives with her partner and five-year-old daughter, said she has been left 'sickened' by the incident.
"This year has been different, we thought we would put (Christmas decorations) up early.
"I have got a little girl, I was trying to cheer her up.
"I can't for the life of me understand why (they would steal the decoration).
"My partner heard a bang last night. It was over quickly. He looked outside and didn't see anything."
It was in the morning that they spotted the incident when they viewed the footage captured on the smart doorbell.
"Another man was with him. It's just so random, that's why I said he is like the Grinch.
"It puts us off putting something else there. We will make sure we cable tie things in future. We have a child in this house, what next?
"You always think of the worst, what could it have been?"
Grace said she tried calling 101 so she could report the incident to police, but she was unable to get through.
She wanted a log of the incident in case something similar happened in future.
M.E.N has contacted Greater Manchester Police for a comment.
