Many of us choose to wear makeup, either regularly or for special occasions.
It's a great way to accentuate your natural beauty and to express yourself. New makeup trends and products are emerging all the time, and some people own a variety of pots, liquids and lotions in a range of shades.
It can be handy to store our makeup in a dedicated makeup bag, so you know where it all is, and can grab it when it's needed.

But one expert is now warning people not to do this. Saffron Hughes, the make-up artist at FalseEyelashes.co.uk told the ECHO this can lead to your makeup and brushes being contaminated by "superbugs".
She said: "Despite popular beliefs, you should never store your makeup collection in a makeup bag. Dead skin cells and bacteria from your brushes are transferred to your makeup bag after every application. Shockingly, researches have found that 90% of makeup bags have been contaminated with superbugs, such as E.coli, due to not properly cleaning or storing their makeup and brushes.
“Instead, you should store your makeup in drawers or a dressing table if you have the budget and space for one. Having a dedicated space to do your makeup will make getting ready much easier as you can grab your products more easily."
Saffron also said people should make a note of the expiry date each time they buy a new product, as it will decline in quality after this and can become a "breeding ground for bacteria". She also said you should double check your product's lids are tightly shut after use, as moisture can enter, which can lead to mould.
