A grieving dad has asked the Tartan Army to get behind a minute's applause in memory of his son at Scotland's World Cup qualifier with Ukraine tonight.
Bobby Burns, 23, passed away suddenly last week leaving his family devastated.
Dad Robert, 50, said his life has been torn apart by the loss of his eldest son.
The pair were big Scotland fans and would attend the games together.
Robert plans to head to the Scotland game tonight, with Bobby's younger brother Shaun, 11.
He has called upon Scotland fans to get an applause going on the 16th minute in Bobby's memory - and give Shaun a special moment to remember his big brother.
Speaking to the Record, he said: "Bobby and I would go to Scotland games together, it started when he was wee.
"Bobby loved them, he was very patriotic.
"It would be great if the Tartan Army would get behind the applause, and give Bobby a send off at the game.
"Shaun is getting the Scotland bug now too, it would be a special moment for him to see."
Robert has chosen the 16th minute of the game for a tribute as his son had a tattoo of the number 16 on his leg as an in-joke with pals to mark their postcode KY16 in Leuchars.
Bobby and dad Robert both worked as technicians offshore and Robert was working away last week when tragedy struck.
He continued: "It's been horrendous, our worst nightmare as a family.
"Bobby had come back on shore and he was out with his old pals on the Friday and had spent time with his brother on the Saturday before he died.
"Last time I saw him he told me he loved me and gave me a cuddle.
"My wife Rosemary is struggling but our community has been great and offered my family a lot of support."
Robert and Shaun will travel down to Glasgow for the match tonight.
The game at Hampden kicks off at 19.45pm tonight.
