Greggs supply Sam Fender with pasties for his Brits Awards party bus

Sam Fender got a big helping hand from Greggs for his Brits celebrations as he revealed the bakers had sorted him out with some pasties or his party.

North Shields singer Sam had quite a night ahead of him at the Brit Awards 2022, being up for three trophies and also taking to the stage at London's O2 Arena with his band.

The lads all walked the red carpet in the capital on Tuesday evening, with Sam looking dapper in a grey suit and saxophone player Johnny Blue Hat wearing a retro Newcastle United top for the occasion.

Sam was also interviewed on the Brits red carpet for ITV2 and it was then that he told host Clara Amfo of his plans for after the ceremony.

In 2019, after winning the Critics Choice award, Sam famously travelled around London in a party bus, with him and pal, Radio 1 presenter Greg James, donning Alan Shearer and Sting masks.

Clara asked Sam if the party bus was making a return for 2022, to which he confirmed it was, before adding: "Greggs have sorted us out with load of pasties again...so it's going to be full of carbs!"

In the interview, Sam who was up for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Rock/Alternative at the Brits, which he ending up wining, said he really wanted to win the latter as it was voted for by fans.

He told Clara: "Anything voted for by the fans means more to me, that would be amazing."

In the hours leading up to the awards, Sam got a post from Newcastle United in his honour.

A tweet from the club's official account read:"Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Rock/Alternative Artist. Sam Fender is nominated for three awards at the #BRITs this evening!

"Best of luck, @samfendermusic. We're all right behind you!"
