Greggs Pumpkin Spice Latte is officially back and fans are going wild for it

Autumn has officially arrived because Greggs has announced the grand return of the long-awaited seasonal drink - The Pumpkin Spice Latte.

The popular bakery chain took to social media to confirm that the autumnal favourite is now officially back on the menu - which is the earliest it has ever gone available.

Greggs seasonal announcement comes just as temperatures are beginning to drop, meaning fans will be looking for a hot drink to warm themselves up.

Made with freshly ground coffee and frothy steamed milk, finished off with a whipping of cream and a sprinkle of spiced sugar, the seasonal drink is like drinking autumn in a cup.

The only downside to the announcement is that the seasonal drink is priced at £2.20 - which is 25p more expensive than last year.

Greggs took to Facebook yesterday to share the Pumpkin Spice Latte's return and it is fair to say that fans have been patiently waiting through the summer heatwave for this moment.

They bakery chain wrote: "It might still be summer, but it’s time to spice things up… Pumpkin Spice Latte is back in Greggs shops from tomorrow".

And it looks like fans can't wait to pack up their sunnies and bikinis, as the popular drink's return means that it is officially Autumn time.

"Roll on Autumn! Soon it will be festive bake time", raved one excited shopper.

"Pumpkin spice season is amongst us that only means one thing…. Autumn", exclaimed a second.

"very important information", said a third tagging their friend.

"Omg I am so excited this is the best thing ever", praised a fourth.

"This is best day ever", agreed a fifth.

It comes as multiple retailers have begun gearing up for Autumn and Halloween a little earlier than usual this year, with retailers such as B&M and TK Maxx launching new seasonal homeware ranges in stores.

Greggs Pumpkin Spice Latte is now available to buy in stores for £2.20. Find your local store here.
