Greggs is dishing out free sausage rolls to customers all Coronation weekend

Greggs is giving out free sausage rolls all weekend to celebrate King Charles' Coronation.

The self-proclaimed King of sausage rolls is running the offer from Friday, May 5 to Monday, May 8 - and everyone can make the most of the deal.

All you need to do is spend £12.50 or more on Greggs on Just Eat, then you can enjoy a free Sausage Roll or Vegan Sausage Roll. What's more, you can redeem the offer every time you spend the required amount.

So if you're organising a street party, you could be in for lots and lots of sausage rolls.

Greggs' sausage rolls are beloved nationwide so it probably goes without saying the classic treat is made from seasoned sausage meat, wrapped in layers of golden puff pastry. Meanwhile, the vegan option looks similar to its counterpart but it is instead finished with Quorn filling.

The news delighted royal fans and foodies alike when Greggs shared the deal on its Facebook page. Commenting on a post about its goodies said to be 'fit for a King', Greggs announced the Coronation weekend deal.

One person replied: "We go Greggs every Saturday for bacon breadcake and latte deal. Love it!"

A second said: "Greggs is the best bakers, I would never shop anywhere else," and a third wrote: "The savoury bakes and sausage rolls are the best at Greggs."

Meanwhile, someone joked: "I wonder if they'll make the royal coach make a diversion from Buckingham Palace via the nearest Greggs en route to Westminster Abbey & vice versa."

Another quipped: "With Coronation Chicken inside?"

Although not everyone was impressed by what they dubbed a 'shockingly poor deal.'

Advertising the offer, a Greggs spokesperson said: "It's safe to say, when it comes to Sausage Rolls, Greggs are King.

"So, it felt only right to celebrate the coronation with the King of all deals."
