Greggs Christmas menu 2023 finally arrives, featuring festive baguettes and orange hot chocolate

Greggs has revealed its Christmas menu for 2023 with the ever-popular Festive Bake set to make a return.

From Thursday, November 9, customers will see the favourites at the bakery chain complemented by soups, sandwiches, cakes, and drinks with a Christmas blend.

New for 2023 will be the Spicy Vegetable Curry Bake, to broaden the options available to non-meat eaters.

The promotion will last until the new year and will be available at all Greggs outlets, with the exception of the Iced Salted Caramel Latte, which is becoming harder to track down (see below for more details).

Greggs recently overtook Subway to become the UK’s biggest fast-food chain and has seen its sales surge thanks, in part, to the number of vegan options on its menu.

Also in 2023, Greggs was involved in a legal battle in London about is opening hours and sales.

Here is what is on the menu.

The Festive Bake is back on Greggs' menus (Greggs)

Festive Bake – From £1.95

For the uninitiated, this is pastry filled with pieces of cooked chicken, sage and onion stuffing, and cooked sweet-cure bacon, covered in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce.

A favourite of Greggs festive menus for many Christmasses past.

Christmas Lunch Baguette – From £3.70

A freshly baked baguette, filled with chicken breast with sage and onion, a dash of onion gravy, sweet-cure bacon, a cheese slice, and a cranberry and onion relish.

Shares the essence of the Festive Bake but is a more substantial lunch option that can also be bought with wedges and a drink for £4.80.

Vegan Festive Baguette – From £3.70

Made with sage and onion plant-based goujons, covered in onion gravy, and garnished with a classic cranberry and onion relish.

More or less the same as the above but suitable for those following plant-based diets.

New for 2023: The vegetable curry bake (Greggs)

Spicy Vegetable Curry Bake – From £1.95

New for 2023 is another vegan-friendly option to give the sausage roll a run for its money.

Made with mixed vegetables, chickpeas, and rice in a spicy curry sauce with added chillies for an extra kick.

Christmas Lunch Soup – From £2.20

Made with diced smoked bacon, pork sausage, tasty chicken, turkey, sage & onion stuffing, and vegetables, blended with a mix of herbs and spices.

Can also be bought as part of the £3.20 soup and savoury deal.

Orange Hot Chocolate – From £2.40

The standard hot chocolate with a citrus twist, or specifically added orange syrup.

Finished with whipped cream and orange sprinkles.

Orange Mocha – From £2.40

See above – but with the added kick of coffee being included.

“It’s chocolatey, it’s orange-y, and it’s a lovely sip of something different,” says Greggs.

Mint Hot Chocolate – From £2.40

The perfect winter warmer to get you through the cold British weather, according to the bakery chain, this one adds mint syrup to the tried and trusted hot chocolate.

If you have a spare fiver, you could even compare it to the orange version.

Mint Mocha – From £2.40

Another slight tweak, this time combining coffee, chocolate, milk, and mint syrup.

Thankfully, Greggs gives a generous time window to anyone attempting to try all of the different types of hot drinks lined up.

Iced Salted Caramel Latte – From £2.85

Now for the unicorn of Greggs festive items. The drink can be picked up at the following shops: Wigston, Worksop, London Paddington, London Liverpool Street Station, London Canary Wharf Shopping Plaza, Newcastle Eldon Square, Durham Bowburn Drive Thru, Leeds Unit C Bond Street, Liverpool Central Station, Birmingham High Street, Birmingham, Cherry Street, Birmingham The Fort Shopping Park, Birmingham Airport, Gatwick Airport, Wednesbury Gallagher Shopping Park, Bristol Broadmead.

It is also available from Greggs outlets in Primark stores in London Oxford Street, Newcastle, Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool, and Leeds.
