For the second time this week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed one of the Los Angeles Rams’ free agents. First it was Baker Mayfield and now Greg Gaines is heading to Tampa Bay.
Gaines has agreed to a deal with the Buccaneers, according to Tom Pelissero. The terms of the contract have not yet been disclosed.
In four years with the Rams, Gaines played 59 games and made 25 starts, including 16 games and 12 starts in 2022. He has 10.5 career sacks in the NFL, with 8.5 of those coming in the last two years.
He originally joined the Rams as a fourth-round pick in 2019 and worked his way into a starting role at nose tackle after Sebastian Joseph-Day got injured in 2021 and eventually left in free agency last offseason.
