Thunderstorms will hit Greater Manchester later today, the Met Office has warned.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for the region and other parts of the UK. Meteorologists have said people should expect "sudden flooding" which could cause difficult driving conditions and "some road closures".
Forecasters are also warning of potential delays or cancellations to public transport services. According to the Met Office, thunderstorms will hit Greater Manchester at about 5pm today and last until about 10pm. Despite the rainy conditions predicted throughout the evening, people can still expect temperatures of about 20C.

The Met Office warning in full said: "Heavy rain and thunderstorms on Sunday will bring a chance of disruption to parts of England and Wales.
"Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and possible road closures. Flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
"Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, perhaps temporarily cutting off one or two communities. Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
"Power cuts might occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost."
