It will soon be time to pop the bubbly and ring in the New Year... but how is the weather looking?
According to Met Office forecasters, we have some rainy days coming up in Greater Manchester - including on New Year's Eve. Today (Thursday), looks set to be the driest day with a cloudy start and some sunny intervals forecast for the afternoon.
Maximum temperatures of around 8C are forecast. But definitely don't put your umbrella away, as forecasters predict a rainy start to the day tomorrow with showers continuing into the afternoon.
It will feel slightly warmer tomorrow with the mercury reaching 11C. On New Year's Eve, heavy rain is forecast first thing in the morning with light showers predicted up until lunchtime.
According to the Met Office there may be some sunny intervals throughout the afternoon. From around 9pm, more heavy rainfall is forecast with showers continuing into the early hours of New Year's Day.
It looks set to be a cloudy start to 2023, before more light rain is predicted at around lunchtime on Sunday. Some showers may fall throughout the afternoon with temperatures of around 8C predicted.
Forecasters predict Tuesday to be more settled, with cloudy and sunny intervals expected. Temperatures will stay at a maximum of around 8C.
