It might be Monday (20 June), but fear not as Greater Manchester is in for a day of brilliant sunshine and mostly clear skies. It won't be as warm as last week, when the hottest day of the year was recorded and temperatures hit 34C in some areas of south England.
But temperatures will reach a lovely 21C today, with the great weather continuing for the rest of the week and temperatures staying firmly in the 20s until the weekend, peaking at 24c on Thursday. It will be warmest from 3pm until 5pm today and the pollen count is on very high alert.
If you suffer from hayfever, which can be worse between March and September, the NHS recommends visiting your pharmacist to find out more about antihistamine tablets and drops. It also advises showering and changing your clothes after you have been outside to wash pollen off.
Today the sunshine will only be interrupted once by a bit of cloud from around 5pm, but that will quickly clear up and make way for a decent night. According to the Met Office, the evening will be 'fine', followed by a dry night with light winds and clear spells. The minimum temperature overnight will stay in double figures at 13C.
