Coronavirus infection rates across Greater Manchester have fallen by almost 30 percent in the last week, latest data has revealed.
Rates have fallen in all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester and are continuing to do so, remaining below the national average across the region.
The weekly total has decreased by 29 per cent last week.
Stockport continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate, with 702.9 cases per 100,000 people as of week ending February 4.

The lowest infection rate is in Oldham, where the rate is 469.6 cases per 100,000 people.
In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 567.7 cases per 100,000 population.
The infection rate in the region is lower than the national average, which is 871.4 cases per 100,000 people.
A total of 16,097 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week which ended on February 4.
The Greater Manchester weekly total has decreased by 6613 cases compared to the previous week, which means the infection rate was down 29 per cent in the last week..
Hospital admissions
In the week ending on January 30, a total of 595 patients were admitted to Greater Manchester NHS hospitals with Covid-19. That is 81 fewer than the week before, a fall of 16 per cent.
On Tuesday February 01, there were 30 Mechanical Ventilation (MV) beds occupied by Covid patients in Greater Manchester NHS hospitals. That is one fewer than a week earlier.
Deaths
In the week ending February 4, a total of 78 people died within 28 days of a positive Covid test across Greater Manchester, which is 27 fewer than the week before.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 877,966 confirmed coronavirus cases in Greater Manchester. There has been a total of 8,641 deaths.
Cases reported in each of the ten boroughs
Trafford
In Trafford, the latest infection rate is 582.1 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases has gone down by 28 per cent.
A total of 1383 people tested positive for Covid in Trafford over the seven days ending on February 4, which is 550 fewer than the week before.
Oldham
Oldham, which has the lowest infection rate in the region, recorded 1116 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 4, which is 619 fewer than the previous 7 days.
The coronavirus infection rate in Oldham is now 469.6 cases per 100,000 people and is down by 36 per cent week-on-week.
Bolton
Bolton recorded 1666 coronavirus cases, which is 604 fewer than in the previous seven days.
The latest infection rate in Bolton is 578.0 cases per 100,000 people and that is down 27 per cent week-on-week.
Manchester
In Manchester, the number of cases is down by 31 per cent compared to the previous week - leaving the infection rate at 522.5 cases per 100,000 population.
There were 2904 positive Covid-19 tests in Manchester in the week ending February 4, which was 1313 fewer than the previous 7 days.
Stockport
In Stockport, there were 2068 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 4, which is 523 fewer than the previous 7 days.
Stockport has the highest infection rate in the region. The infection rate in Stockport is down slightly compared with the previous day and the week-on-week trend is down by 20 per cent.
Tameside
There were 1356 positive tests over the last week in Tameside, which is 733 fewer than in the previous week.
The week-on-week trend in Tameside is down by 35 per cent and the latest infection rate is 597.0 cases per 100,000 people.
Rochdale
Rochdale is an area where the trend is down. The latest infection rate here is 509.7 cases per 100,000 people.
There were 1140 cases recorded in Rochdale, which is 542 fewer than the previous week - a fall of 32 per cent.
Wigan
The trend is down in Wigan, where there were 1888 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 4, which is 804 fewer than the previous 7 days. That is down by 30 per cent compared to the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Wigan is 570.9 cases per 100,000 people, which is lower than the national average.
Salford
There was a fall of 23 per cent in cases in Salford over the week ending February 4, and the infection rate is now 567.2 cases per 100,000 population.
Salford recorded 1490 positive Covid-19 tests over the seven-day period, and that is 453 fewer than the previous week.
Bury
Bury saw a total of 1086 cases in the week ending February 4, which is 472 fewer than the previous week. That is a fall of 30 per cent.
In Bury, the most recent coronavirus infection rate is now 569.5 cases per 100,000 people.
