Greater Manchester pub transformed into stunning five-bed home with gym and games room

A beautiful five-bed home has gone up for sale in Greater Manchester - and it's unrecognisable from its former self.

The detached house on Dunham Street in Oldham was once a pub named the Gardeners Arms, but after closing its doors in 2014 - it was converted into a residential property.

Whilst the home has now been fully modernised, the owners have kept some of the pub's traditional features including its front doors where punters would have once been flooding through.

The unique and characterful home boasts five bedrooms, a large landscaped garden, a games room and a gym, and is on the market for £575,000.

When renovating the former pub, the new owners retained as many of its existing features as possible.

The pub's original sash windows were brought back to life and converted from single glaze to double, and repairs were made to the original stain glass window in the top section of the building.

The existing original staircase and handrails were uncovered and reused, and the original floor and wall tiling in the entrance and up the stairs was preserved.

As well as keeping the traditional front door, the original numbers over each of the home's doorways have also been kept by the current owners.

On the ground floor of this fascinating home is an entrance hall that paves the way to multiple rooms.

This floor hosts the dining room, sitting room, downstairs bathroom and games room with a central pool table - sadly not one of the original's from the former pub.

The main hub of the home is now the open-plan kitchen and living room, with a spacious lounge area and plenty of space to dine, entertain and socialise.

On this floor there is also a fully-equipped gym towards the back of the home.

Upstairs there is a large landing area that leads to five double bedrooms - including a master bedroom which comes with its own en-suite.

There is also a family bathroom located on this floor.

In addition, the home also has three spacious cellar rooms - which would have once stored the pub's cask ale.

Outside there are large, landscaped gardens to the rear and side, originally used as the Gardener's Arms' beer garden.

The garden area has various seating areas, a covered hot tub and artificial grass for low maintenance.

To the right hand side of the property is a large driveway with space to park up to five cars.
