Traffic officers for Greater Manchester Police seized a McLaren this evening (Saturday, 4 March) after conducting a traffic stop. Officers soon realised that not only was the driver not insured but they were also a provisional licence holder.
Road traffic officers took to Twitter to share a picture from the scene of the traffic stop. In the image the black McLaren can be seen on the back of a lorry ready to be towed away form the scene. It's not known where the supercar was pulled over but the driver won't be getting behind the wheel any time soon as they are now disqualified from driving.
At 10.43pm GMP traffic officers tweeted: "This McLaren started in pole position but #RPU won the race! If you’re provisional licence holder with no insurance, don’t pretend to be Lewis Hamilton by driving your friends McLaren because you’ll receive an instance disqualification! Driver reported and vehicle seized #165"
