A Boots store dubbed 'one of the best' by customers has announced it will be closing its doors next month. The store, at Salford Precinct, which also offers pharmacy services, will be shutting in February.
The Albany Way store, at Salford Shopping Centre, has confirmed it will be closing but no exact date was provided. All staff will be offered positions at other local stores in Greater Manchester. The store is currently open from 9am until 5.30pm every weekday, opening at a slightly earlier 8.45am on Saturdays.
Other nearby branches, such as the one on Langworthy Road and Salford Regent Park will remain open, continuing to offer pharmacy services to customers.

A spokesperson for Boots said: "At Boots, we continually review our store locations to make sure they are where our customers need us most and it is never a decision we take lightly when looking to close a store.
"The store in Salford Shopping Centre will close in February 2023 and team members at this store will be offered opportunities in other stores in the Greater Manchester area. Our close by stores at Langworthy Road and Salford Regent Park will remain open and will continue to offer pharmacy services to our customers.”
The Salford Shopping Centre store has four out of five star reviews on Google, with one shopper writing: "Good service. Friendly, helpful and specialized employees. Really one of the best Boots branches."
Another wrote: "Great staff, polite, kind , considerate of their customers, and work hard to make everyone happy. Really enjoy saying hello and hearing the same back."
