Great Scottish Run 2022: Glasgow road closures this weekend ahead of race

This weekend Scottish athletes will be taking to the streets of Glasgow for The Great Scottish Run, which is set to happen on both days.

On Saturday, October 1, the junior mini event will take place whilst the following day will see people take part in either the 10k or half marathon.

Glasgow City Council has put diversions in place for the event which is set to take place in George Square and finish in Glasgow Green.

Due to road closures and diversions in place, it is recommended that you plan your route before leaving and where possible, take public transport and avoid driving as there is no onsite parking at the start or finish of the race.

If you do chose to drive however, the nearest parking is Duke Street, George Street, Cathedral and Concert Square with Buchanan Street and St Enoch Subway station also nearby.

So which roads are closed during the event and how long will they remain closed? Here's what you need to know, according to Glasgow City Council.
