The Great North Air Ambulance landed in North Tyneside on Sunday afternoon to deal with a 'medical incident'.
The helicopter was called to the Monkseaton area of Whitley Bay after an adult male reportedly fell ill at a junction.
The service was called at 12.22pm and landed nine minutes later at 12.31pm. They travelled with a doctor and paramedic team on board.

The patient received advanced medical care at the scene and was transported to hospital by road ambulance.
A spokesperson for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) said: "We got the call from the ambulance service. We were on scene within nine minutes. The patient received treatment at the scene and dispatched to hospital."
The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) sent two ambulances to the scene after receiving reports of a person unwell at a junction in Whitley Bay. They took the patient to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in Cramlington, Northumberland.
A spokesperson for the NEAS said: "We received a call at 12:06 this afternoon to reports of a person unwell at the junction of Hillcrest and Deneholm in Whitley Bay. We sent two emergency ambulances, a rapid response paramedic, a clinical team leader and an air ambulance team and transported the patient to Cramlington hospital for further treatment."
