The Great British Rail Sale has launched, slashing nearly a million train tickets in half.
Masses of tickets on popular routes are halved in price, or heavily discounted - but it is a first come, first served situation.
As the cost of living rises, with the rate of inflation hitting a 30 year high of seven per cent, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps says this will help people see friends and family for less money.

The Department of Transport have said the following rail services are included" Southeastern, London North Eastern Railway, Avanti West Coast, Greater Anglia, South Western Railway, Great Western Railway, Northern, C2C, Chiltern, London Northwestern Railway, Cross Country, East Midlands Railway, West Midlands Railway, Southern, Thameslink, Great Northern, TransPennine Express.
And on the Great British Rail Sale website, you can pick up a one way ticket to London from Glasgow Central for just £26 on April 28 on the majority of services throughout the day - the normal advanced single would cost £64.50.
Travellers from Glasgow can also bag tickets to Dunbar for just £2.90, £5.40 to Berwick-upon-Tweed and Manchester for £7.50.
The cheap tickets will be sold for journeys made between April 25 and May 27.
And the discounts keep on coming because on top of that, you can also use your railcard to apply a third off the fare.
