Great British Bake Off star to launch EE's 'House of Fibre'

A Great British Bake Off star is helping EE launch a fully immersive tech experience in Liverpool.

EE is encouraging people across Liverpool to visit the launch of its House of Fibre, which the company describes as a "fully immersive tech experience."

They say House of Fibre, on Rodney Street, will feature an interactive smart kitchen, gamer’s paradise, wellness gym, an infinity bathroom with the ultimate selfie mirror, as well as a living room with buffer-free streaming of TV shows and films.

The house will showcase the ability of EE’s Full Fibre to connect 100 devices simultaneously and seamlessly.

People will have the opportunity to take part in various cooking and gaming masterclasses led by professional FIFA players, Tom ‘XL Tom’ Leese and Nathan ‘Zelonius’ Horton as well as The Great British Bake Off contestant and chef Mark Lutton, all powered by Wi-Fi.

EXCEL ESPORTS professional FIFA player, Tom ‘XL Tom’ Leese, said: “I am buzzing to be a part of the EE House of Fibre event in Liverpool.

"Competing at the highest level of FIFA, it's so important that I am able to play and train comfortably at home to keep up with my regular streaming schedule.

"I want to be able to do this while also streaming gameplay and listening to Spotify, so it’s really important to me that I have the fastest and most reliable broadband speeds.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting the local community and my fans at the event so I can show them my personal FIFA tips and tricks, as well as giving them the chance to play FIFA 22 with me. Looking forward to meeting you all there.”

Chef Mark Lutton added: “I’ll be demonstrating some quick and easy recipes in the interactive kitchen and testing just how far I can go with the tech available, shouting commands at voice activated timers and streaming recipe videos online, seeing how EE’s Full Fibre broadband will cope!

"Let’s see if it can make recipes quicker to follow and time in the kitchen easier. I can’t wait to see you there.”

The House of Fibre experience will also be moving to other cities in the coming months.
