While his self-anointed nickname may not be resonating quite as well as he had hoped, Boston Celtics forward Grant “Batman” Williams‘ game made a case for the Tennessee product to have super powers of some sort regardless of the nickname debate in the Celtics’ 132 – 123 road win over the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center on Monday night.
Despite it being the second half of a back-to-back with two starters out, Williams seemed unphased as he stepped into the role of a starter and put up an impressive, career-high 20 points, 10 rebounds, an assist, and a block in 38 minutes of playing time. The former Vol standout shot 7-of-14 from the field, a not-so-great 1-of-4 from beyond the arc, and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe while only fouling twice with no turnovers.
If you missed the Gothamesque outing of Boston’s own Dork Knight (we mean that lovingly, Grant) or just want to see it again, check out the clip embedded below to see the best of Williams’ play against Oklahoma City.
