Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has suggested that ‘small details’ could be the difference between the Gunners and Liverpool.
The north Londoners welcome the Reds to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening for a clash that could be crucial to each side’s ambitions for the remainder of the campaign. The Gunners are firmly in the mix for a return to the Champions League and could extend their gap to Manchester United to four points with a victory.
Elsewhere, Jurgen Klopp’s side have the chance to further shave Manchester City’s advantage at the top of the Premier League table with three points. They have won each of their last eight league games so Arsenal’s assignment is certainly not an easy one.

Arsenal themselves are in excellent form too, with their 2-0 victory against Leicester City at the weekend extending their winning run to five matches in the Premier League.
Xhaka has played his part in the positive run having assembled an excellent midfield partnership with the in-form Thomas Partey. He believes that the margins during the 90 minutes could decide the direction in which the points go.
Speaking after beating Leicester, the Swiss said: “We knew this would be a key week for us before the international break. And let’s see on Wednesday, we have to maybe perform better than today [against Leicester].
“We know the quality they [Liverpool] have. They are one of the best teams in the Premier League, maybe in Europe. We have to be focused over the 90 minutes.
“We have to finish the chances to score as quick as possible, but as well we have to be very compact. In the end, on Wednesday, I believe the small details will be the difference.”
Xhaka, 29, has made 18 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal so far this season having missed large swaths of the campaign through injury. He has played every minute of the Gunners’ last five league games - being on the winning side in all of those.
