A devastated grandmother has shared her heartbreak following the sudden death of her newborn puppy.
Matt Reid, from Barrow, decided to help his mother Linda buy a cocker spaniel puppy from a breeder - but sadly it ended in tragedy.
Last month, Linda told Matt and his wife Amelia that she was ready for another canine companion, after her senior dog passed away from old age.
The couple found Linda a black cocker spaniel puppy in Lancaster and brought him home in mid-June.
Linda named the gorgeous little dog Jett and the pair instantly bonded - but then he quickly fell ill and died within a couple of days.

Tests showed Jett had parvovirus, a highly infectious disease that commonly spreads among poorly-bred puppies.
Symptoms of parvovirus include foul-smelling diarrhoea, vomiting, loss of appetite, collapse, fever and sudden death.
Matt told Lancashire Live : "She loved him so so much. Sadly, we have now found had parvovirus and he has since died.
"He was sick on the Monday and my mum wasn't sure if he just didn't like the food because she had given him a different kind of food to the one he had been on.
"But the following morning he was super lethargic and she took him to the vet immediately and the vet took him in and did what he could for the next two days but he died on the Thursday.
"So my mum is devastated about it and now she has been stuck with vet bills as well."
The breeder is no longer replying to any forms of contact from the family and Matt says Linda has been left heartbroken.
After doing some research, they believe the breeder of the cocker spaniel may have been banned from selling animals for a number of years, but are unable to prove it.
The family have since been in contact with the Lancaster Dog Warden and police, however, they've both said there is nothing they can do at this point.
Matt and his family are hoping some kind of justice with prevail.
He has set up a fundraising page to try and help Linda with the hefty vet bills which total £750.
