Grand National 2023: Style Award finalists announced at Aintree Ladies Day

The Style Award finalists have been revealed at this year's Ladies Day.

Ladies Day returned as part of the much-anticipated Grand National Festival, taking over Aintree racecourse for three days of racing, fashion, betting and more. This year, for the first time, organisers The Jockey Club confirmed dress codes would no longer be in place at any of its 15 racecourses.

This is part of efforts to make the day more comfortable, and more accessible. Despite this, Ladies Day remained a stylish affair, with people sporting bold and beautiful dresses, suits, and more.

Ladies Day, taking place today, April 14, sees the most fashionable race-goer awarded the coveted Style Award. The lucky trend-setter in first place will scoop a holiday worth £5,000 along with £1,500 in spending money; £1,000 donated to their chosen charity, a £300 House of Cavani voucher and in store experience; two Garden Club tickets to Ladies Day 2024, and a Randox Health full-body Everyman I Everywoman package.

The second place winner will also receive some lucrative prizes. They’ll bag a tech bundle worth £3,000, a £200 House of Cavani voucher, two Festival Zone tickets to Ladies Day 2024, as well as two places in hospitality on one of Aintree’s Music Nights in 2023.

The third place winner will receive a £500 QUIZ gift voucher, a £100 House of Cavani voucher and two Festival Zone tickets to Ladies Day 2024.

Hoards of glamorous festival goers stood in line to enter the competition, which was open to all, but only three made the final cut. The three finalists have been named as Sian Jones, Steve Mulholland and Carmen Lee.

The Grand National 2023 will take place from Thursday, April 13 until Saturday, April 15. ECHO reporters are at Aintree over the course of the festival to keep you updated on all the latest news from the event.
