One of horse racing's most iconic races is just days away and looks set to be an exciting encounter with plenty of strong contenders heading to Aintree this year. The Grand National is one of, if not, the most popular races on the horse racing calendar and this year sees a £1million purse with the winner expected to receive half of that.
This year sees Corach Rambler's story continue to be a fascinating one as the nine-year-old goes to Aintree as this year's Grand National favourite with the bookies. He has won twice at Cheltenham Festival plus has a brilliant record on any ground as well jumps very well. Oh and one of the owners is a 21-year-old student - what a way to spend your student grant.
Elsewhere, last year's winner Noble Yeats has been in good form going into this match with plenty of signs of improvement since collecting the 2022 honour at Aintree. The horse finished fourth in the Gold Cup and some are comparing the eight-year-old to Tiger Roll who could win back-to-back Grand Nationals.
