Grand National 2022 live stream: How can I watch Aintree meeting for FREE on TV in UK today?

It’s Grand National day at Aintree, with Minella Times and Rachael Blackmore bidding for back-to-back successes after their historic triumph a year ago.

The world’s most famous horserace headlines today’s card at the Liverpool track, but the National meeting has already brought plenty of Grade 1 action, with Clan Des Obeaux and Epatante among the big winners on Thursday and Fakir D’Oudairies and Jonbon both impressing on Friday.

Fans are back on course for the meeting for the first time since 2019, while millions more are expected to tune in around the country.

Grand National 2022 dates and start times

The Grand National Meeting gets underway on Thursday, April 7 and runs across three days, culminating today.

Each day features seven races, with the first starting at 1:45pm. On Friday, the races are run at intervals of 35 minutes, meaning the last race goes off at 5:15pm.

Today, however, the timings are slightly different to allow for the longer build-up and fall-out from the Grand National.

The 2022 Grand National is the penultimate race of the meeting and starts at 5:15pm today, with the final race rounding off the meeting at 6:20pm.

How to watch the Grand National Meeting 2022

TV channel: The only place to watch the meeting in its entirety is on Racing TV, which offers subscriptions starting from £10 for a day pass, as well as monthly and annual deals. Coverage starts from 11am on Friday and from 10am today.

On terrestrial TV, ITV1 will show live coverage of five races each day, excluding the first and last races. Coverage starts at 1:45pm on Friday and at 2pm today, with the hour-long Opening Show on ITV4 at 9:30am on each day of the meeting to preview the action.

Live stream: Racing TV subscribers can stream the action live via the website or app, while ITV viewers can do likewise via the ITVHub website and app.
