Gran 'horrified' as daughter takes her for surprise lunch at infamous Karen's Diner

A 73-year-old pensioner in Sheffield was left "horrified" after visiting the infamous

Karen's Diner

.

She thought she was heading out for a nice lunch with her family, but when she entered the establishment, the last thing she expected was to be sworn at or spoken at rudely by a 'Karen'.

The pensioner didn't know that the iconic eatery promises to deliver tasty food with terrible service, reports Yorkshire Live.

Diners can expect turbulent service, singing waiters and frequent guest appearances from the manager, who is thought to be the biggest 'Karen' of them all.

On

Tik Tok

, Jo Billington-Game shared a clip which has had more than 26 million views, and three million likes, of her mum's experience at the diner.

She titled it: "When you take your 73-year-old mum to Karen's Diner."

They were accompanied by two other family members, who were left in stitches of laughter after seeing the pensioner's reaction.

Walking into the venue, they stood waiting to be taken to their table and the manager said: "Oh here we go, what do you want, grandma?"

The customer appeared flabbergasted by the comments, and turned to her daughter with her jaw dropped in shock. "Well, I'd like you to speak nice to me", she told the manager.

"You're in the f****ing wrong place for that love," the manager added.

"Bloody hell who booked this," the disturbed customer said.

"It's the first time she's come in today, clearly", the staff member added.

"Does everyone else understand the concept of the diner now?"

A 73-year-old grandma's brilliant reaction to the deliberately rude staff at Greater Manchester concept restaurant Karen's Diner has gone viral (@jobillingtongame/TikTok)

"Grandma, if you cry in the toilets no one gives a s***."

"What?" the pensioner screamed.

The staff member threw the menus on the floor in front of the group before taking them to their table.

"I hope you have a s*** time. Sit down and shut the f*** up," she added.

In a third clip shared on the video app, the "appalled" woman was given a hat reading 'I remember dinosaurs'.

She wouldn't give her name to the servers when asked and would not turn around when they were performing.

"Donna said you look like s***", a staff member said. "I feel like s***", she said.

After startling the woman, a staff member told her she'd won a free drink.

"You can all call me s*** if you buy me a drink", the 73-year-old added.

Over 34,000 people commented on the clip after it was shared on TikTok.

"She is appalled", @kaela said. @omgjohn added: "The sheer shock!!"

Another user added: "Sis hasn't been disrespected like that her whole life." While a number of people found the video funny, others said it was "not the place" for an elderly woman who didn't understand the concept.

@Inaaa said: "I don't think it's a great place for her to go there. Hope she's alright, she's really twitching with anger haha." @mimini added: "Nope, not the place I'd take an older person."

Another added: "Poor grandma. Hope she laughed afterwards." @VeroSmart said: "I still don't get people paying for this."

Shelly Murphy said: "Omg take her out of there, she's way too sweet for it." "She looks horrified. Bless her," @lynnharling2 added.
