Tottenham legend and former Rangers player Graham Roberts hasn't enjoyed Ange Postecoglou's Celtic stint - but reckons he is a perfect fit for Spurs.
The latest noise around the Hoops gaffer is he is closing in on White Hart Lane and chairman Daniel Levy will make an official approach on Monday. Tottenham have been looking for a permanent successor to Antonio Conte and look set to break Celtic hearts by taking the man who clinched a Treble on Saturday by beating Inverness CT 3-1 in the Scottish Cup final.
Roberts - who starred for Rangers between 1986-1988 and previously spent six years in North London - hasn't enjoyed the domestic dominance Postecoglou has had. But reckons he can root out some of the Spurs rot. The former defender tweeted: "As a Rangers man it has been hard seeing Celtic play such great football this season and last. All I do know is with Ange you are getting someone who loves to play football the right way has a huge personality and everyone seems to love him as man.
"If it is Ange you should all expect hugely entertaining football and he is also very good tactically. We have been down the big name route the last few years and the football been horrible on the eye.
"We need Ange of whoever it is to come in and give us the love back for the club. Also imo we need to clear out any players we can out who does not want to be part of this amazing huge football club.
"I don’t want to hear about too much running or I have to work too hard anymore. Winners want to train hard and improve."
