Chelsea head coach Graham Potter will not put limits on what Kai Havertz can achieve in his career, as he believes the German star has the mentality and talent "to do anything" in the European game.
Havertz has celebrated huge successes since arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2020 from Bayer Leverkusen. It was his goal in Porto against Manchester City that clinched the 2021 Champions League, and last season he netted the winner in the Club World Cup final against Palmerias.
Those moments have guaranteed Havertz a place in Chelsea's history; they can never be taken away from the 23-year-old. However, a recurring theme during his two-and-half seasons at the club has been inconsistency. It has resulted in frustration among Chelsea supporters.

Yet in the past two matches, Havertz has been used in a more withdrawn role by Potter. It's a decision that has paid off with the German international scoring against both Borussia Dortmund and Leicester City and producing some of his best football of the campaign.
And when asked whether Havertz's best role in the Chelsea side has been found, Potter replied: "That’s the thing, Kai is still young and can play in lots of positions. He is probably not quite leading the line now, he's behind the line, and that's probably his best position Although I would not rule anything out with Kai because the mentality is there and he has got all the attributes to do anything.
“I think he is a confident player, but he is also someone who you need to help. I can’t speak highly enough of him, to be honest. He has given everything all the time, does his absolute best, takes responsibility, and is an absolute dream to work with as a coach.
"He wants to learn, wants to improve, and gives his best to the team. He deals with adversity in a sensible, mature way, and rides out the storm. Then, because of the quality he has, he gets his rewards.”
