Graham Potter: Chelsea results are not good enough but I won’t quit

Chelsea manager Graham Potter has vowed to fight on as pressure mounts on his job after yet another defeat.

The Blues barely threatened Tottenham on Sunday in a 2-0 loss, extended their winless run to six games as they fell 14 points behind their London rivals.

Standard Sports understands the Chelsea board are determined to stick with Potter, who they see as a project manager rather than achieving instant results.

Potter acknowledges that results have been poor and is determined to be the man to improve them.

"I know the responsibility," he told Sky Sports. "It's not good enough for this club. I take full responsibility for those results. It isn't good enough for Chelsea.

"I know the personality and quality in the team. A tough period of time. Confidence isn't massively high.

"[Pressure] is the same in any job anywhere. If results aren't good enough, which they aren't, you can't rely on support forever. My job is to keep going."
