Sky pundit Graham Souness believes Everton's penalty should not have stood in the 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest - but was not surprised it was awarded.
Referee John Brooks awarded the spot kick in the 10th minute following a foul by Jonjo Shelvey on Dwight McNeil, and Demarai Gray made no mistake from the spot.
Brennan Johnson quickly responded with an equaliser for Forest, and he was on the mark again late in the second half after Abdoulaye Doucoure had restored Everton's lead.
Souness made his feelings clear on the penalty - and McNeil - live on Sky Sports Premier League. He said: "I think he dives a bit but [Jonjo] Shelvey has given him too much of an invitation.
"Did he deserve him to dangle the leg a bit there? I don’t think so. There’s an element of diving in this, but you can understand it. The invitation is there, so you take it."
